Laura Petican, Ph.D, Assistant Professor of Art History and Director of University Galleries, presented a paper titled “Process and mani sapienti: Arte Povera and the Default to Order,” on a panel hosted by the Italian Art Society at the College Art Association’s 2018 Annual Conference in Los Angeles, California. The paper will also appear in 2018 in an interdisciplinary, edited volume to be published by Brill, Netherlands.
Dr. Petican has also edited an interdisciplinary volume titled Fashion and Contemporaneity: Realms of the Visible, which includes scholarly essays written by eleven international experts in the fields of history, art history, and fashion studies, to which she has also contributed a chapter titled “The Hybrid Muse: 2Fik or Not 2Fik,” to be published in 2018 by Brill.
