Professor of Ceramics Louis Katz will presented FORM, VOLUME, STRUCTURE, CLAY at The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference on Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The 2018 NCECA conference is the organization’s 52ndAnnual Conference. The theme for 2018 is CrossCurrents: Clay and Culture and will be held March 14-17, 2018. Louis Katz’s lecture will describe and discuss characteristics of historic and contemporary ceramic form compared with that of other sculpture. The lecture will cover volumetric form, structure, mass, breath and bones and the characteristics seemingly imposed by clay.
